Details

The “Bear Paw” quilt shows just how precise quilting can be. It is made from cotton fabrics that have been carefully selected and assembled into a geometric pattern. A bold red and a bright white form the basic colors—they create a balanced tension between each other.

The central motif of the “Bear Paw,” a traditional quilt block, runs through the entire work. Colorful triangles sit at each corner of each square. They shine in bold blue, bright yellow, deep green, and many other colors. These colorful corners bring movement to the quilt and allow shapes and colors to play with each other.
